First Semester of Vis Dev

First semester of vis dev is finally over. Courtney Granner's class really kicked my ass, but I've learned that there's so much more to concept art than creating pretty pictures. This class helped me realize that art is just another means of communication that I have to learn, so that I can visually convey the stories that I'm trying to tell. Here is a sample of the work I did this past semester. Hopefully I can get around to updating my blog more often.

Here are my final paintings from 113b. The assignment was to design a forest based on Shakespeare's A Mid-Summer Nights Dream, and then enchant it at night time.

Sack Pantomime

Here is my sack pantomime done for my 114 beginning animation class. It sucks... and I wish I could have spent more time on it... but it was a good learning experience.

This academic year has gone by so fast. Here are a few pages from my updated portfolio that I had to turn in for my 114 class. The first two pages are some samples of my quick sketch figure drawings; and the last two are examples of my class work and my process.
