I made some new watercolor photoshop brushes, and here are a couple quick test I did.  

Painting With the Pro's

My girlfriend invited me to join The Dam Keeper crew for their weekly painting session.  It was such a humbling experience to visit the small studio, and to see all the beautiful art work.  I was also lucky enough to meet Dice Tsutsumi and Robert Kondo.  I've admired their work for a long time and it was great to finally meet them.  They are such great artist and are truly passionate about what they do - I definitely left the studio feeling inspired and eager to work harder.

The Dam Keeper crew work really hard, and produce amazing work.  I can't wait to see the short film.

Some Paintings

Here are a couple paintings from the past couple of weeks.   The first is a 2hr painting done at Palo Alto  Art Center.  I accidentally smudged some wet paint on the face, but I thought i should post it anyways.  The second painting was done at National Bridges Beach in Watsonville I think.   I only used my palette knife on this painting because I forgot my brushes that day, but it was a fun learning experience.

Hello Dark

I'm testing out a few photoshop brushes I made.  This is a quick sketch I did based on Lemony Snicket's The Dark.  It's a really fun children's book with some amazing illustrations by Jon Klassen.
